$580,000 raised for charity

To Colin, Kevin and the Club Car Team,

Well, a week since the second Annual Mick Fanning Charity Golf Day and I’m still buzzing!

Firstly, a huge thank you for sponsoring the event and supporting the day. You are a big part of the reason the day is so fun and such a success.

We are so stoked to announce we raised $580,000 this year. That takes us to $1,005,000 raised in our first two years! This money is going to help hundreds of families with the distribution of relief going directly to those that need it most.

Hosting the O’Driscall family at the event this year and seeing such big smiles on their faces was amazing. Talking with them about the hardships of so many families in their community and all through the Northern Rivers region was a reminder that the recovery effort isn’t over. Great to have the GIVIT team involved again, keeping us in the loop on the struggles that still exist for people and ensuring the money gets to where it is needed.

I’ve gotta give love and praise to the celebrities that took time out of their busy schedules to really make the day a memorable one. I think Nollsie gets MVP this year for his antics on the course and the big sing-a-long at the presentation. Pure gold! Onya mate.

Thank you to my team Paul Gow, Ronnie Blakey, Ryan Bautista and especially our Chief Operating Officer Matt “Chuppas” Owens. Without them, our families, friends and volunteers the day would not be what it is.

We look forward to making next year bigger and better again. I’ll update you on how the money raised is helping people out that need it most.

Love, respect and happy golfing.
