Pelican Waters Golf Course Reopens

After an 18-month closure, Greg Norman designed Pelican Waters Golf Course officially reopened after a reconfiguration was undertaken by its owners – Palm Lake Group.

In an atmosphere charged with excitement, a gathering of celebrities, the Pelican Waters Golf Course celebrated its grand reopening last Thursday, August 3. The occasion welcomed many well-known figures such as Wally Lewis, Guy Sebastien, Casey Stoner, Paul Vautin, and Allan Langer.

The reopening of the course has not only excited golf enthusiasts but has also positively impacted the surrounding community. The transformation has spurred the development of waterfront and golf-frontage homes, a project undertaken by the Palm Lake Group, adding a touch of opulence to the area.

A friendly game of golf was played as part of the reopening festivities, showcasing the course’s new layout and design. The event featured both individual and team shambles formats. The victorious team included Golf Cars Australia’s very own Colin and Lachlan Sergis, representing Club Car, along with future residents of Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters, Jim and Sharon Baker.

“We have supplied 72 vehicles to the golf fleet and an additional six cars for ground staff. Club Car vehicles are of the highest quality in the world. These vehicles are more than just functional; they embody quality and longevity, crafted in the USA to stand the test of time.

Colin Sergis, CEO of Golf Cars Australia, highlighted the collaboration between his team and the Palm Lake Group. Branded with the Pelican Waters logo and colours chosen to reflect the opulence of the club, these cars not only function well, but look amazing too.

“This is just the beginning of a promising partnership between the Palm Lake Group and Club Car. We’re committed to providing ongoing vehicle service. Additionally, each home in the new Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters, adjacent to the golf course, will receive their very own Club Car vehicle,” noted Colin Sergis.

With renewed greens, a revitalised layout, and the support of dedicated partners, this iconic course stands ready to create new memories for golfers old and new. The reconfiguration of Pelican Waters Golf Course has allowed Palm Lake Group’s most iconic and opulent over-50s community to spring to life around it.
