Golf Cars Australia was proud to take part in Aitken Legal’s revived charity golf challenge, which returned after an eight-year hiatus to support Wishlist, a hospital foundation dedicated to improving local health services. The 4 Ball Ambrose Legal’s Sunshine Coast Corporate Charity Golf Challenge, held at Pelican Waters Golf Club, attracted 144 golfers, all keen to contribute to the 92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me 5 appeal. Together, participants raised an impressive $61,064.
Aitken Legal managing director Lisa Aitken shared her excitement about the event’s revival, saying, “Give Me 5 celebrated 25 years this year, so it was great to bring back our golf challenge. The feedback from the day has been fantastic, and we are proud to hand over $61,064 to Give Me 5 and Wishlist.” Golf Cars Australia echoed this sentiment, recognizing the importance of giving back to the community.
Golf Cars Australia played a role in sponsoring the event. Not only did they take part in the day’s activities, but they also provided one of the most coveted prizes—a premium golf car for the “Hole-in-One” competition on the second hole. This exciting prize added some thrill to the day, as golfers competed for the chance to take home a brand-new Club Car.
In addition to this, participants were entertained by Todd and Sami from 92.7 Mix FM during registration and breakfast. The day was filled with champagne, Balter Beer, oysters, and canapés as attendees engaged in a variety of activities, including the longest drive challenge and The Lucky Golfer competition. The prize pool was impressive, featuring a 2024 BMW i4 eDrive35 sponsored by Coastline BMW, along with the Club Car donated by Golf Cars Australia.
The charity golf day also included a lunch with live entertainment from Dean Stewart and a silent auction. Reflecting on the success of the event, Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said, “Raising over $61,064 means we can continue providing valuable services to support children and their families in our local hospital during their time of need.”
The event, held on August 23rd, was a testament to the power of community spirit. Golf Cars Australia was honoured to be a part of this incredible day, supporting both Wishlist and the Give Me 5 appeal, while contributing to the local community.
